TERMS OF SERVICE
These terms govern your use of the Bricks app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Questions: brett@bricksslc.com
1. Who can use the app
The Bricks app is for members of Bricks SLC and people applying to become members. You must be at least 18. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure, since that is how you sign in.
2. Your membership and your app account are separate
Your Bricks membership is governed by your membership agreement with Bricks SLC. These terms cover the app only.
Deleting your app account does not cancel your membership or stop your billing, and cancelling your membership is handled by Bricks SLC directly. To end a membership, contact brett@bricksslc.com.
3. Community rules
Bricks is a working community sharing one building. The app is an extension of that building, and the same standards apply.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.
You agree not to post, send or upload anything that:
• harasses, threatens, bullies, defames or intimidates another person;
• is hateful or discriminatory toward anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other protected characteristic;
• is sexually explicit or pornographic;
• depicts or encourages violence, self-harm or illegal activity;
• infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• is spam, a scam, or an unsolicited commercial solicitation;
• shares another member's private information without their permission;
• impersonates another person; or
• contains malware or attempts to breach the security of the app.
You also agree not to misuse the reporting tools — for example, by reporting content you simply disagree with.
4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
Reporting. You can report any post, comment or message from the app. Reported content is hidden from you immediately, and the report goes to a Bricks administrator.
We review reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content, warning the member, or terminating their access to the app.
Blocking. You can block any member from their profile. Once blocked, neither of you sees the other's posts, comments or messages, and neither can message the other. You can unblock from Edit profile → Blocked members.
Our rights. We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that breaches these terms, with or without notice. Removing someone's app access does not by itself end their membership agreement, and ending a membership is handled separately.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you give Bricks SLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it within the app so that the app can work — for example, showing your post in the feed to other members. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already made in routine backups.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
6. Payments
Membership fees are charged under your membership agreement. Payments are processed by Stripe; Bricks never receives or stores your bank or card details. Fees, billing dates and cancellation terms are set by your membership agreement, not by these terms.
7. Availability
We work to keep the app running but do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bricks SLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Bricks does not control what members post and is not responsible for content created by members, though we will act on reports as described above.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes we will tell members in the app, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.

11. SMS Messaging
We send one time verification codes by text when you sign in. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
